Lord, this world is fading from us, its treasures rot and our monuments decay. For this is not our destiny Lord, but rather we are meant to be with you, in adoration of your image. Let us do away with attachment to the things of this world, O God, and better devote our mortal time in service to you, and the attainment of a kingdom without age or end. Amen.
