Take with you words, and return to the Lord. (Hosea 14:3)

Have you ever found yourself speechless when it comes to matters of faith? Have you ever stood open-mouthed when asked to give a reason for your hope in Christ? God knows I have. It can be difficult to find both the courage and vocabulary to share our faith in a world that often seems to thrive on skepticism and self-sufficiency.

Where do we start? How do we draw people to Christ without scaring them away? Our first step in any effort to evangelize must be the self-knowledge that we can’t do it alone. No amount of education can replace our ability to merely open our mouths and allow the spirit to fill us with what we need to say.

I stand open to you, Lord. Give me the words I need.
